With the aid of American Benefactors,
a chapel was erected in 1965. However, a furious typhoon demolished it
on November 4, 1967. With the financial assistance of the Superior General,
Fr. Luigi Ricceri, and numerous friends and benefactors, the Church was
build into a beautiful Marian landmark. On April 29, 1969, the novitiate
was assigned in Canlubang, until it transferred to Granada, Bacolod City
in 1989. Simultaneously with these bits of illustrious history was the
birth of Don Bosco College, as recognized by the government. Since it
first started giving BSEd degrees in 1968, it has flourished into a College
which aims at higher things, beautifully expressed in its motto,
Ad Maiora Natus - "Born for Greater Things".
It is now giving degrees in Secondary Education, Technical Education,
Religious Education, and Philosophy.
